The CDS Foundation was established in 2007 to help make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Gifts to the Foundation go directly to providing critically needed, yet unfunded, opportunities that provide support to people who need it. 

Each year the CDS Foundation responds to requests from Continuing Developmental Services, Inc. (CDS) to help fund areas of need. Grant requests are reviewed by the CDS Foundation Board of Directors.

Historically, the CDS Foundation has helped fund CDS' Special Olympic athletic program, the new Aquatics Center at the Wolf Life Transitions Center and necessary improvements to several CDS residences.
