Our special thanks to those of you who support kids and adults with developmental disabilities by donating to the CDS Foundation. Through your gifts, we are able to do so much to help make dreams come true for them, including once-in-a-lifetime trips to Disney World, a great week of fun each summer at Camp Haccamo, and the thrill of participating in Special Olympics. The Foundation also addresses other needs of our individuals, particularly those requiring special equipment, medication or facility modifications to accomodate their particular circumstances. Your gifts to the Foundation help make this possible, and for this we are most grateful.
As you may know, the CDS Foundation was established in 2006, and is governed by a Board of Directors that not only is deeply committed to the CDS mission, but also demonstrate it by their own generous contributions. We are so pleased to have these individuals - all of whom are business and/or community leaders - partner with us to get the Foundation off the ground and in a position to make great things happen for CDS.
One of the Foundation's major efforts in 2007 is to raise both "friends and funds" in support of of our Day Services participants and Unistel workers who will spend their days in our soon-to-be-built life transitions center in Webster (opening in the Spring of 2008). Please contact us, or revisit this website in March, to learn more about this facility and the tremendous impact it will make on the youngsters and adults in our community with developmental disabilities.
