$85,000 to Fund Residential Improvements

Each year CDS receives preservation grants from the State to help cover necessary and continual improvements to residences occupied by people living with developmental disabilities. This year, these grants were not made available, unless the repairs were imminent in nature.

Many of the residences managed by CDS were in need of improvements. CDS made a request to the Foundation to help with some of these unfunded enhancements.

Because of the generosity of donors who make an unrestricted gift to the CDS Foundation each year, many people are living independently with the support of CDS improvements to their homes.
