$12,000 to Help Fund Over 100 Special Olympic Athletes at CDS

One of the largest recreation opportunities at CDS is the Special Olympic athletic program. Currently, CDS has over 100 athletes who spend the year competing in a variety of sports. This program, enjoyed by many, relies completely on donations received to the CDS Foundation.

With the help of families, athletes, volunteers and the Community the CDS Foundation hosted a bowling party that raised $12,000 to help provide uniforms, equipment, and transportation to CDS Special Olympic athletic teams.

Save the Date – February 28, 2010 for the 3rd Annual “Strikes for Abilities” Bowling Party. Proceeds will benefit recreation, health and wellness opportunities, like the special Olympic program, for people living with developmental disabilities.
