My Gift. My Way.
As a parent, I feared what would happen to my son, Kevin, when he graduated high school.  Would he be able to be independent, find a job, and participate in activities he enjoys?  I work full-time, the thought of him being home all day terrified me.  Then, with the help of Kevin's service coordinator, we discovered CDS' Transitions Program.  Kevin and I toured the Wolf Center and new this was the right place for us.

Now, I have peace of mind.  I know he is busy during the day learning and growing while doing things he enjoys. 

I feel it is my obligation as a parent to give back to the organziation that has helped Kevin grow.

I give my time by volunteering with special events for the CDS Foundation.  I also designate my United Way gift directly to CDS. 

It is important for me to know the people who are working with Kevin each day.  I got to know CDS and the CDS Foundation by staying involved. I hope you will too.

I love knowing that because I choose to help, Kevin and his friends at CDS will always have a place to prosper.
