By all accounts, both Disney World trips our CDS residents made in 2006 were a blast! Support from Annual Fund donors help make possible these "dream come true" excursions. Shown above are 11 residents from our CDS homes who took part in October's four-day trip which, as one of our happy travelers reported, was “the best time of my life”. Contributions made by the Founding Members of the Disney Dream Team, in response to an appeal from the CDS Foundation, were largely responsible for the October trip. Earlier in the year we were able to provide a similar Disney experience for 13 other residents also made possible by Annual Fund gifts.
So much is accomplished with your gift to our Annual Fund. Last summer the Fund enabled 110 individuals to have a blast at Camp Haccamo, and 75 of our athletes came home winners at Special Olympics.
And that’s not all. Thanks to your Annual Fund gift, we are able to provide music and exercise programs in our residences, purchase adaptive equipment and special medications, and make necessary renovations to our facilities.
Your gift to the Annual Fund also enables individuals to participate in programs for which CDS receives only partial support from public sources, such as our KID Program and transportation services.
