Why We Give

Guy and Joyce LaChiusa’s daughter, Suzanne, has participated in CDS’ Webster Creative Opportunities Program for more than 20 years. With gratitude for the care she receives, the LaChiusas make a yearly gift to CDS as their way of giving back. They wish to share their reason for giving as encouragement for other families to consider making a gift to the upcoming Fall appeal from the CDS Foundation.

Gifts of Cash (Currency, Checks and Charge Cards)

The gift of CASH is the most popular of the methods of giving. You can donate cash online, using a credit card, by completing the form on our website, or by printing and mailing the form to us. You also can donate over the phone using a credit card by calling Elizabeth, Development Associate, at (585) 598-8733.

Provides much of our day-to-day support
Can be given in honor or memory of family or friends. The CDS Foundation, in turn, will send a card to whomever you designate (e.g. honoree, family of the deceased, etc.) informing them that you have made a generous gift in their or their loved one's honor/memory.
Is fully tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes
